Google is announcing a new feature for Google Maps users including a new Commute tab, also it will let you have access to Spotify, Google Play and Apple Music within the app. In the new commute tab, Google Maps can offer live data on traffic to help you best manage your daily trip to work. You’ll be able to see any over-crowding or interruption on your route before you take a leave, and you’ll be given particular travel info for each step of your trip. It will be available on both iOS and Android. Additionally, Android users will receive notification on updates on their device before getting hooked up.
This new tab is also good for users who use mixed transportation system. Google also provide a real-time location data on subways, trains, and buses in 80 regions worldwide, and this feature is promised to be available in more cities around the world. Google Maps will show you exactly where your train or bus is before its arrival. Also, it will even show the number of passengers in next available trains and buses.
Finally, Google Maps will support Spotify, Google Play and Apple Music services within the navigation screen, you’ll be able to control playback from within the navigation app.
