Users of iPhone XS and XS Max shared their experiences on the MacRumors forums and Apple’s support forums that they have been experiencing poor charging issues on their iPhones. They reported that the phones will not charger is plugged in and while the device is asleep.

It was observed it is software issue, because the users have been thinking it's the charger they use, but until they found out within themselves that not only one person that is experiencing this. "Tech vlogger Lewis Hilsenteger demonstrated the issues on nine different iPhone X, XS, and XS Max devices on his YouTube channel Unbox Therapy. A few iPhones respond right away after charger is being plugged to them, while others have to be tapped to come up, and others do freeze".

Some of the users responded that it was like Apple already knew the issues while they have to release the latest iOS 12.1. But now with the latest version you should be able to solve the charging issue.

Since Apple releases the iOS 12.1 Beta to everyone, you shouldn't be concern about the issue anymore. Recently, the solution is to fix it from the settings after upgrading to the latest iOS 12.1 Beta. Launch the Settings, FaceID and Passcode, scroll down to “Allow access when locked” and turn on USB Accessories. Enjoy!
